[Photos de la Margeride, très rare dans les Cévennes] Plante très polymorphe. Vivace généralement élancée, glabre ou poilue [à poils étalés].
Écologie : (répartition d'après la flore) Prés, bois, pâturages humides, depuis la plaine dans le Nord jusqu'aux régions alpines des montagnes de toute la France.
Répartition hors de France : Europe ; Sibérie ; Groenland et Labrador.
